I went to see Old Crow Medicine Show at MingleWood Hall last night and all I can say is "FINALLY!". Memphis is long overdue for a venue like this and I had a blast. While the will-call line was long and cold (next time I'll just pick up my tix early), everything moved very smoothly. Beer lines weren't frustrating, the crowd was laid back and friendly, and we all were able to enjoy the sites and sounds of The Felice Brothers and Old Crow made for one outstanding evening.
I NEVER stood in line for the bathroom (and for a girl that is huge) and every aspect of the evening was just seamless.
Congrats to Mike Smith, Leia Walsh and the team at Minglewood for putting on a great show and and running such a great venue. I can't wait to see more shows here!
